About the Artist

I grew up in a small town. I moved to L.A. the month I turned 23 and stayed for 4 years working as a production assistant and waitress. I moved to New York and trained to be a painter at The Art Students League of New York where I worked my way through school by waitressing and scholarships.

I live and work in New York City . My inspiration comes from people I see on the subways, on the streets and the people who are in my life. I am also and especially inspired by the painters and artists I admire: Some of who are Diego Velazquez, Leonardo D’Vinci, Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne and Theodore Gericault. Being in New York City I am lucky to be able to go to the Metropolitan Museum and look carefully and often at master paintings. I admire and am inspired by the actors, poets and writers Johnny Depp, Garcia Lopez, Pablo Neruda, Herman Hesse and Hunter Thompson each of whose emotionally generous work has saved my spirit many times and helped me think more deeply about art and the human soul. The painters and teachers Harvey Dinnerstien and Gregg Kreutz have had a deep influence on me and have guided me as an artist.

My goal and dream as an artist is to continue to develop my skill and to develop my ability to express and communicate in my work.
